Oral Communication and the AAC

Assistive Technology in the field of Oral Communication can include a variety of areas to assist individuals with speech or language difficulties. These can include the following:

Speech Enhancing Systems include amplification systems for students with severe speech and/or voice disorders.

Electronic Fluency Aids for students with severe stuttering difficulties.

Augmentative Communication Systems for students who experience severe expressive communication difficulties either orally or in the area of written expression and require augmentation.
